Oh my word!! Ok honesty time, reviewing this book will take me a very long time. I will be using this book Punch Bowls and Pitcher Drinks for years to come for when I host different  shindigs.

So instead of me just picking out my favorites I asked a few friends to take a look at this book and pick theirs. So first I made Hubby pick his. Of course there was no surprise to what he chose. The Old Fashioned Manhattan. His grandfather used to drink them and gave him the cherries from them, so he is a little nostalgic about them. But what I was surprised about was his willingness to try the cherry/tangerine ice cubes on the same page. Hmmm……. looking forward to making this for him.

The next person I asked was my friend Jen. I picked one out for her before she looked knowing her sophisticated tastes and was not surprised when she agreed to try the Strawberry Meyer Lemon Sparkler with Lavender. ( I remember her eating lavender ice cream at my 30th birthday and was blown away) So I guess I will make her a special batch of this in a few months for her birthday!!

But for me I couldn’t choose just one. So instead I picked two!! Watermelon Tequila punch and Peachy Moonshine. Again not that I am a regular drinker or anything but if I must have something that isn’t beer (since I don’t like wine) it will be one of these two. Both of these recipes scream summer BBQ to me. It makes me want to fire up the grill despite the fact it is about 8 degrees out today!!

Don’t worry my non-drinking friends there is a chapter of non-alcoholic drinks. Overall the best part for me though was the simple syrup pages. I love making simple syrups to slip into my ice teas during the summer to give them a little extra flavor. I may have to try a couple of these out in my tea this year.

This book is just fun and sometimes its ok to just kick back, put your feet up and enjoy life!!
